Open the Manufacturing module, and click on the ‘Material Details’ icon to display the Materials Details window. To create a new material, select an existing material and copy. To copy, change the “Material Code“ press <Enter> on the keyboard and then click on the Copy button to copy over previous material’s information.

Update Feed-rates Option 1 – update by machine
Open the Core Data module, click on the ‘Workcenters’ option and enter the code for the Workcenter/machine required.
| 1. | Click on the “Laser Cut” tab at the right of the window, click the Refresh button to display a list of the materials that are cut on this machine and also their feedrates and speeds and other information are recorded on this tab. |
| 2. | Click on the column headings to sort and edit as required. |
| 3. | Click the Save button to save any changes. |
Update Feed-rates Option 2 update by individual materials
Click on ‘System Codes’ from the Toolbar, and then select ‘Material Groups’ from the drop-down menu and then click on ‘Material Sub-Groups’ from the extended list.
| 1. | The ‘Material Sub Groups (Laser) window opens. In the “Sub Group Code” field, press <F2> and select group from the pop-up list and click OK. |
| 2. | Edit rates as required and press <F9> to save. |
