Creating and Quoting Parts - Laser/Plasma Quote Fast

Open the Quotes Module, and click on the ‘Laser Quote Fast’ icon to display the ‘Create Parts Fast’ window.

 

1. Click in the “Client code” field enter the required client code or press <F2>, select the client from the pop-up list and click OK, press <TAB> to display details. Parts previously created for the client will then updated into bottom panel of window.

 

2. Choose an existing part from bottom panel by dbl-clicking on the “Part Code” which brings this part detail into top ‘Material Code area. Edit part as required or use this part as a template for a similar part ( to create a new Part “Part Code” the user must change the existing code )

 

 

3. When creating a new Part the following fields must be filled:

a.“Part code” & “Part Description”
b.“Material Code”   - Use only recommended materials from the database.
c.“X & Y” dimensions and “Per Sheet” calculation – The Material Estimator button must be used initially to achieve the “Per Sheet” figure. Subsequently, the “Per Sheet” figure can be overtyped.
d.“Features” with either times or length of cut.

 

4. Sub Contract operations may be added by selecting the B.O.M “Type”, then the corresponding sub contract material code. Supplier and pricing for each price break can be entered along with a description of the operation. The sub contract operation is added to the Workcenter panel. The position of the sub contract in the routing sequence can be moved by using the Insert or Delete Row functions in the Workcenter panel.

 

5. Additional materials such as nuts, bolts etc., can be added in the green Material panel.

6. For additional features in the window please contact your ITMS administrator.

 

When part details are correct, click on the Save icon to save. New part numbers are added to panel at bottom of window.
