Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Overview:

For plastics fabrication companies, the selling price of sheet material can vary dependant on whether the sheet is sold as a full sheet or cut to size. The following options can be used to calculate the sell price in both Quotes and Client orders.

Option 1.

Variable material pricing automatically determined from cut size of material sheet. The following records need to be set as per figures below.

Click on ‘System Codes’ on the toolbar and select ‘System Parameters’ from the bottom of the drop-down list. Click on ‘Parameters – QUOTE’ to open the window, click on the tick boxes as shown below.

Create a material group for the plastic sheets and enter fields as shown below.

Note:  The Factor for Plastic is used to create price points based on the portion of sheet being cut,

eg: the example shown will give 3 price breaks at 0 - .333 , .334 - .666 and .667 – 1.0 of a sheet. These factors will multiple the UOM2 SQM price. The more Factors loaded the greater sell price points created.

Create the Material Record and enter the UoM2 Price.
